/not signed. PvP is about fighting player vs player, not looks. PvP players already get things exclusive to PvP, such as the fame emotes and other things. Only fair that PvP players don't get certain dyes, armor/weapon/item skins, etc.

The only things that PvP players get that PvE players don't are the /rank emote, and their own titles. PvE players of course have many more titles to choose from.

Honestly, give PvP players something to spend that faction on; as long as they require a high enough cap, the player has put in a comparable amount of effort as a pve player getting a nice skin/armor.

The only thing PvP players get that PvE players don't is the emote with a title. The only thing PvE players get that PvP players don't is rare armor/weapon skins.

Sure PvE has more titles, but the amount of titles possible doesn't make a difference. They're still just titles, none come with emotes. Still not seeing Why PvP deserves to unlock skins when PvE can't earn an emote.

Apparently Anet is adding in some item exchange thingy for tournament points, from GvG and HB (HB with a ladder??? Ugh), and to enter those tournaments you need 5k faction per entry item (5x5 for GvG, 5 for HB). So there will be an extra faction sink regardless of whether they use tournament points or balthazars faction.

However this limits those getting those shiny items to people who play GvG or HB (again HB, ugh) and requires them to be on for the tournament times. I'd prefer using balthazars faction for unlocks as it wouldn't require an extra faction implemented and wouldn't discriminate versus people who don't GvG or HB (TA and HA are definately 'higher' levels of PvP than HB, RA and AB are probably about the same).

you should add "trade balthazar faction in for balthazar flames" so I can get my second account UAX.

Really like the idea of rewarding PvP, and maybe inplement new weapons just for PvP sake.

PvE and PvP have very different values to weapons and armor and what they stand for.
PvE higher tier armors and end game armors/Rare skinned weapons suggest a player has experiance in that field, they are respected due to thier equipment and what it stands for - an experianced, skilled PvE player.
PvP however derives respect and awe from other players in a different way, the pure skill of a player on the field, someone who is skilled gets noteworthy by many means (Glad points, Fame, Observer mode, guild rankings, hero ranking etc) that is turned into Emotes and Titles that are selectively for those who have achieved alot in PVP.

the joy of PvE comes from conquering the enviroment and the games AI and the thrill of PvP is beating your fellow players in combat where actions speak more then a set of End game armor

I'm a pvper with 1.4 million faction. You're saying I wouldn't enjoy armor that would speak for my combined accomplishments in pvp? well.. how about

There is no need to be jealous. Giving PvP unlocks will not harm PvE in anyway, therefore that argument is simply jealousi.

PvP and PvE will never be equal.

Keep in mind the obsidian is to be paid for in a chunk in faction. i.e. The current faction limit implies that less than .001% (more like .0001%)of players can afford the pvp obsidian armor. Which is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay less than those that can afford it via pve.

/halfsigned for armour unlocks. I like the idea of being able to unlock new armour with faction but unlocking 15k pve armour sounds like a bad idea. I prefer the idea of having exculsive pvp armour and maybe weapon unlocks so people when playing pvp with you know that you a real pvp player and not mistake your character as a pve character

Also maybe a title for the total amount of faction you have earn. When you hit 1 million Balthazar faction you could get the title of Balthazar's Favoured however by doing this this will be unfair to the many players that have UAX and have not gain any faction. However a change could be developed so that you could still accumilate total faction even though you bar faction is maxed.

I want to look good while I smash other peoples' faces in. I'm going to be hitting UAX tonight and then I'll have nothing to do with my faction.

When I see someone with FoW armor or some other high end armor in PvE I dont think "Oooh they have skill." I think "they must farm a lot." Which means that argument is useless.

A PvE character can get pvp titles so that argument is also useless.

I agree with Kool Pajamas, we want to look good too. PvE characters can gain emotes while PvP characters cannot gain PvE armor.

Something to spend our faction on would be lovely!

I think it would be entirely fair for PvPers to be rewarded with additional skins for weapons and armour. I also feel that this could be utilised in conjunction with the current system.

For instance your 'Rank' determines various skin unlocks for armours in PvP, the higher your rank the more armour skin options available to when kitting out a pvp character. You could gain additional armour options at the same point at which your emote is upgraded for instance.

Your overall balthazar faction determines which weapon skins are available to you with additional skins added at certain breakpoints. The rarer the skin the higher the faction needed to unlock it, you would not need to spend your faction to gain these weapon options anly attain the overall faction on your account necessary to reach the breakpoint.

Gladiator points unlock additional dyes for PvP, at higher levels you can create your own dye "mixes" in the same way you can in pve.

As a primarily pve player I feel it is only right that pvp, which is in general a more challenging enviroment, should allow similar rewards to pve.

This would also go some way to negating the necessity of pvp players, earning money to afford themselves rarer skins through pve.

I would also like to see some way for guilds to earn Sigils for victorys in high ranked GvG matches, for pretty much the same reasons as above.

I SIGN for WHATEVER they add for expend Balthazar Faction. It's plenty ridiculous the double faction weekend this days with a TWO year old game, don't misunderstand me, I love the double factions weekends, is good, but not anymore when you have all unlocked.

And please, stop complaining about PvPers don't "deserve" a 15k or FoW armor, REMEMBER a very few people has a very big cap in B.Factions, my cap is 50.000, so if they add an option for unlock FoW armor for 100.000 factions, that will be impossible for me, because I will need a 100k cap for unlock it, and that is a LOT more difficult than buy it in PvE.

Sorry, but PvPers should never have access to flashy armour. Flashy armour, Flashy weapons, they're PvE. You pay the price for been able to delete/reroll any character you desire and completely kit them out with Runes and Mods in an instant. If you want the flashy stuff, you PvE it.

It would be nice if they could add something with this faction... even if its adding those Flames of Balthazaar that gave you some faction (think thats what they were called), you trade them in for your excess faction and can sell it to other people to make a profit off it. Its not exactly a great solution... but i've hardly had time to think it through thoroughly.

Having a high cap is nice, but I can't do anything with my balthazar faction for months/nearly a year now.

I started a thread somewhere else with the idea to use Balthazar faction for access to the FOW, balthazar's elite area.
